Question
How do I pulse an output on an NGP panel?
Answer
There are two ways to pulse an output on an NGP panel :Method 1
- Configure a Local I/O with the "Activate Alarm Panel Output" function.
- Assign this function to a Device> Function Link. For example, select an alarm panel device to link an input to activate the output.
- Select an input, and then configure it for the following states:
Secure = Set FALSE
Fault = Do Nothing
Alarm = Set TRUE - This will pulse the output for the duration configured for the output as long as the input is activated for the output duration time or longer.
Method 2
- Configure a Global I/O in order to pulse an NGP output when an Alarm Active event is received for an alarm input.
- Add a new Global I/O. On the Input Event tab, select "Alarm Active" for an NGP input.
- On the Output Action tab, add the "Device Output" action.
- Select an NGP Output, and then select the "Pulse" option.
- When the the NGP input becomes active, it will pulse the output for the duration configured for the alarm output.
