Symptom
When launching the Device Discovery Console, the following error is shown:
Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging, Version=3.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Resolution
1. The DeviceDiscoveryConsole.resources.dll file may not havbe been properly installed/registered. Run a Custom Repair and select Device Discovery Console. (Be sure to do this while logged in as an Administrator.)
2. If the Repair does not work, verify that the following directory exists on the computer Device Discovery Console is installed on:
C:\Program Files\OnGuard\Device Discovery (32-bit OS)
C:\Program Files(x86)\OnGuard\Device Discovery (64-bit OS)
In the Device Discovery folder, verify that the following files exist:
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.dll
Microsoft.practices.enterpriselibrary.common.dll
Microsoft.practices.objectbuilder.dll
If they do not, these files can be copied from the OnGuard installation media:
install media\OnGuard\Device Discovery
After copying the files to Device Discovery folder, the Device Discovery Console will open without displaying the error.
2. If the Repair does not work, verify that the following directory exists on the computer Device Discovery Console is installed on:
C:\Program Files\OnGuard\Device Discovery (32-bit OS)
C:\Program Files(x86)\OnGuard\Device Discovery (64-bit OS)
In the Device Discovery folder, verify that the following files exist:
Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.dll
Microsoft.practices.enterpriselibrary.common.dll
Microsoft.practices.objectbuilder.dll
If they do not, these files can be copied from the OnGuard installation media:
install media\OnGuard\Device Discovery
After copying the files to Device Discovery folder, the Device Discovery Console will open without displaying the error.
