Symptom
When trying to start the Linkage Server as a Service, you recieve the following error: "Windows is attempting to start the service.... cannot start on (this server)"
Resolution
This usually means that the User logged in is not an administrator or does not have rights to start the services
To test:
- Right click on the Linkage Server Service
- Click on Properties
- Click on Log On tab
- Select 'This account' radio button
- Browse to a known Administrator account User name
- Enter in the password and confirm password
- Select Ok
- Try to run the service.
If it runs, you know you are not an administrator on that computer or do not have sufficent admin rights.
