TCP port 8888 must be open to the Internet on the computer where the software-based license is being activated.

If this TCP port is not open, the license can only be activated by calling Lenel Technical Support.

Additional Information

Note that TCP port 8888 is required for online activation and deactivation. While TCP port 8888 does not need to be added as a firewall exception, this port should not be restricted or filtered.
