Value of Customized Numeric Field on Cardholder Screen Set to 2147483647

Symptom

If the data type of a field on the Cardholder screen is customized with FormsDesigner to be numeric instead of text and an 11-digit value is entered into that field on the Cardholder screen in System Administration, the value is changed to 2147483647.

Any 10-digit value or less remains unchanged.

Resolution

This is an limitation of the numeric (integer) data type, which is a 32-bit value. The maximum value of a 32-bit integer is 2147483647.
