OnGuard 7.3 Prerequisites in Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit

The base version of Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit is not ready for OnGuard 7.3 installation.

This article describes the prerequisites required with installing OnGuard 7.3 onto Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit.

For manual (or online) installation:

1.       Disable User Access Control (UAC).

2.       Enable .NET 3.5 Runtime feature.

3.       Install KB2938439 update, which is a critical cumulative security update for Microsoft Internet Explorer.

4.       Install KB2919442 update, which is a critical fix for update services related to stack handling.

5.       Install KB2919355 update, which is a cumulative set of security updates and critical updates.

6.       Restart the server.

7.       Install KB2999226 update, which is a universal C run-time update.

8.       Install OnGuard 7.3, which will install other necessary updates provided by the OnGuard installer.

NOTE: The updates listed above are sometimes included in packages with different KB numbers.

For half-automated (or offline) installations steps are:

1.       Download “Server2012R2_64x OnGuard 7.3 prerequisites.zip” from: https://file.ac/K8OvJoqECNw/

2.       Unpack the zip file.

3.       Run 1...bat file as administrator (which will restart the server after few minutes).

4.       Run 2...bat file as administartor (which will restart the server after few seconds).

5.       Install OnGuard 7.3, which will start by installing additional updates provided by the OnGuard installer.
