Installing OnGuard on SQL Azure
Procedure Steps
Installing OnGuard on SQL Azure requires manual configuration changes because:
- The field for the Database server name during installation expects a "valid hostname" (such as "DBSERVER0002", but not "tcp:databasename.database.windows.net" which is how the Database server name appears when using SQL Azure).
- Therefore, the ODBC connection created during the OnGuard installation must be changed manually after the installation completes.
- In Setup Assistant, in the Database Configuration section, provide the valid server details, and uncheck "Windows Authentication connection with database".
- Configure the Login Driver with the correct Database server name.
