How to wire a V-Pass FX to an LNL-2220 or Series 2 Reader Interface reader port

To correctly install a V-Pass FX using the LNL-2220 or Series 2 LNL-1300/1320 (instead of an LNL-500B), wire the device as follows.

1) The V-Pass FX must be wired directly to the power supply. It cannot be powered from the reader port. Connect the red and black wire directly to the power supply.

2) Connect the blue/black wire to Data 0.

3) Connect the blue wire to Data 1.

4) In System Administration, the reader type should be set to:

- Single Interface (Bioscrypt RS-485)" for LNL-1300 Series 2
- Dual Interface Rdr n (Bioscrypt RS-485)" for LNL-1320 Series 2
- IDRC Onboard Reader n (Bioscrypt RS-485)" for LNL-2220
