Configuring Bioscrypt 4G devices for capture
Procedure Steps
When using Bioscrypt 4G devices to capture fingerprints with an OnGuard release earlier than 6.4.500 Hot Fix 2.4, there is a property that must be configured correctly. 4G Device must be in TEM mode for enrollment as well as verification. To configure this property, use Bioscrypt SecureAdmin Client. After selecting the specific device in Device Network, go to the Biometrics tab and make sure Device Mode is set to Verify and Template Type is set to 1:1 TEM. If the template type is not configured correctly, attempts to capture fingerprints will result in a crash. This is applicable to any 4G device supported by OnGuard regardless of the sensor type (U1, S) or firmware version.
With OnGuard 6.4.500 Hot Fix 2.4 and later, OnGuard sets this property automatically, so these manual steps are not required.
