Blue Diamond readers do not work with DESFire cards. This impacts Blue Diamond readers sold prior to third quarter 2018.
Answer
Earlier manufactured Blue Diamond readers with firmware DEV_17 would not work with DESFire pre-programmed cards bought from Lenel. Later models are being shipped with DEV_30 firmware which will correctly read the DESFire EV1/EV2 programmed cards.
