Which analog camera should I use with a Lenel HVR?
Answer
Use the Lenel-DS4016HCI. The input number corresponds to inputs on the capture card via the spider cables in the back of the unit.

- Close out of System Administration and the re-open. Once logged in, update the capabilities on the recorder.
- On the HVR, go into the Device Manager and expand the 'Sound, Video, and game controllers' header.
- Look for the Hikvision DS40xxHC/HCS/HC+/HF/HS/MD Series capture cards, and make sure they are not displaying any errors.
- If you do not see the HikVision capture card in Device Manager, and you are sure that the unit is a Lenel HVR, uninstall the LNVR Firmware (see KB article 1219) and reinstall it (see KB article 2930). When you reach the section where it asks which features you would like to install, expand out the Lenel Network Video Recorder header and confirm that 'Hybrid Analog Card Installation' is selected as part of the install.
