How to Setup and Use Global Arm/Disarm Commands?
Procedure Steps
In order to use the global arm/disarm commands, you will want to use the following steps:
Non-Segmented Database
1. Set the Intrusion command configuration to Global Permission Control Only (System Administration > Administration > System Options > User Commands tab)
2. Set the Alarm mask group command code. The default value is 300.
Segmented Database
1. Set the Intrusion command configuration to Global Permission Control Only. (System Administration > Administration > Segments > Segments > User Commands tab)
2. Set the Alarm mask group command code. The default value is 300.
3. Setup reader to Allow Intrusion Commands. (System Administration > Access Control > Readers > Check Allow Intrusion Commands)
4. Setup Global intrusion command authority for users on Access Level. (System Administration > Access Control > Access Levels > Select Access level > Check Global intrusion command authority)
5. Assign Access Level to Badge. (System Administration > Administration > Cardholders > Search for cardholder > Modify Access Level tab > Assign Access level with Global intrusion command authority)
6. Create and setup an Alarm Mask Group (System Administration > Groups > Mask Groups tab > Add Mask group with devices to mask/unmask.)
7. Pay special attention to the Mask Group ID. This will be used later when telling the system what Mask Group you would like to mask/unmask.
8. Obtain an Access Granted on the LNL-CK or Keypad.
If using LNL-CK with default Alarm mask group command code of 300 and an Alarm Mask Group ID of 1:
9. < 300 01 COMMAND
10. The LCD should prompt you to press 1 to Disarm or 2 to Arm. The LCD will also show the current state of that Mask Group.
If using non LNL-CK Keypad with default Alarm mask group command code of 300 and an Alarm Mask Group ID of 1:
9. * 300 01 #
10. The system will then be looking for a 1 to Disarm the Mask Group or 2 to Arm the Mask Group.
The command is broken up into 5 main sections:
Section 1: < or * This will put the reader into a state that will allow commands
Section 2: Alarm mask group command code (the default in the system is 300)
Section 3: A 2 digit number for the ID of the mask group. If the Mask Group ID is 0 then the two digit entry would be 00. If the Mask group ID is
5 then the two digit entry would be 05. If the Mask Group ID is 10 then the two digit entry would be 10.
Section 4: COMMAND or # This will let the reader know that the command sequence is complete.
Section 5: Command to Arm/Disarm. Pressing 1 will Disarm the Mask Group. Pressing 2 will Arm the Mask Group.
