How to configure network storage for the LNVR

How to configure network storage for the LNVR

Procedure Steps

LNVR network storage must be formatted in a specific way. Mapped drives appear in the Available Locations list, but will not function properly and should not be used. The full UNC path name for the designated folder must be specified (i.e., \\COMPUTER-NAME\SHARE-NAME\).

1) Specify the location from the Lenel Video Suite Configuration dialog box by selecting <User Location...>. Click the arrow key to move the selection to the other column.

2) Click <User Location...> and type in the path name or browse for the location.

To use a UNC path video storage location, at least one physical location that is found on the local machine must be specified. This is done so that if the storage location is unavailable through the network, video can still be stored on the machine.

Applies To

LNVR (All versions)
