How to assign access levels in a segmented system from multiple segments
Procedure Steps
In order for users from one segment to assign access levels from another segment, an option in the Segments folder must be enabled.
In System Administration:
2) On the Segment Options form, select the Allow access levels to be configured as assignable by users in other segments check box.
3) Once this option is enabled, log out of System Administration and then log in again.
4) From the Access Control menu, select Access Levels. The Access Level Additional Segments form will be added, allowing you to select an access level and give other segments access to it.
For example:
A user in Segment 1 creates a front door access level. On the Access Level Additional Segments form, the user can then give access to Segment 2 users to assign this access level. When Segment 2 users log in, they can assign this access level, but cannot modify or delete it.
Note: Segment 1 must be configured for access in order for Segment 2 users to give access to areas in Segment 1.
